Asher spent a lot of time in his exersaucer this past month.  

We began feeding him some rice cereal, avocado, pears, and bananas.

Asher has gotten quite attached to mommy.

But still loves daddy a bunch too.

And his future's so bright, he's gotta wear ...

Dad & Michele visit

My dad and step-mom came out to visit this summer. They were troopers as we took them around town, visited the campus, Cedar Creek winery, the goat cheese maker, and even a downtown summer festival. We're hoping that now that they've experienced the sunny Okanagan we'll be seeing more of them out west.

Asher's 1st Boat Ride

Papa and Baba took Asher for his first boat ride on Lake Okanagan yesterday. We took a look at the remains of Monday's fire in Seclusion Bay. Being one bay over, it was really close to Andrea's parents place. It was a bit of a scary day as Gibaults are no strangers to fires.

The fire started on Monday just as the Frykoda family were landing in Kelowna for a visit. With Andrea's parents gone for the week, our plans to take up residence at Chateaux Gibault was put on alert as we waited to find out how far the fire was spreading. Thankfully they contained the fire quickly and we were not evacuated.
